Tariq is a video producer, community builder, and Co-founder of Late Bloomer Media. He has worked in video production for over nine years, and has grown a passion for connecting creative professionals with the next generation. Experienced in both producing and camera operation, he’s had a hand in every stage of the film production process.

Through his work as a director, he champions the belief that everyone belongs, and building a diverse film crew is essential to creating more authentic cinema. He’s pitched, produced, and led multiple independent films, as well as designed beginner-level filmmaking workshops for the Twin Cities community.

Originally just a solo filmmaker, today Tariq’s work has expanded to print as well. He’s recently collaborated with his partner and Co-founder Catherine Tinh to publish ‘Margins’, an interactive arts magazine from Late Bloomer. His contributions ranged from developing the original concept to serving as co-writer, editor, and co-creative director throughout the project.
