My name is Tariq Muata, and I’m Co-Founder and CEO of Late Bloomer, a creative media company dedicated to empowering emerging artists and reshaping the creative landscape. By title, I’m a Film Director and Visual Artist, but my skills span across many different areas including; videography, project management, and systems building.

Starting out over 10 years ago as a freelance videographer, I’ve had to learn a lot things on the fly. Although I’m primarily self-taught, my greatest asset has been keeping an open mind to what I can learn from others. Whether it’s keeping up with the fast pace nature of social content work, or learning the more detailed approach to creating long-format video, I’ve always been able to combine these experiences to make an even bigger impact in my community.

When glancing ahead, my goal is to continue to build on this skillset, finding new ways to adapt and impact society through meaningful work. Whether it’s through my directing, organizational leadership, or community education work, my voice remains focused on creating change.
